The leather is relatively light-weight and the cotton canvas mixed in takes some weight off the bag.
An exclusive design that you will not find anywhere else, the Grand Slam Duffel is functional, handsome and 100% tanned & built in USA. Each bag is skillfully crafted with the raw edges hand-stained and polished then stitched with precision. The brown latigo handles and trim are sewn with extra-heavy beige No.277 industrial thread, the handles are rolled and polished and the bag is finished with premium Japanese shirt fabric lining. Constructed from a Limited Edition Horween® baseball glove leather. The same waxed glove leather you will find in the finest baseball gloves made today. We chose this leather NOT as a novelty but for it's pure feel, substance and smell! The hides are perfect for leather cases and accessories. It has just enough body or "temper" to give the case rigidity and structure without feeling too stiff and with very little stretch. It's a perfect balance of look, feel and structure. The leather is a comfortable 5-6oz. in a golden-tan color with a light pull-up effect. The best part is the "Smell" of the leather will take you back to the ball game!
